BSB51615 - Diploma of Quality Auditing

The BSB51615 Diploma of Quality Auditing is a Nationally Recognised Qualification for those wanting to develop their career in internal audit, quality assurance, governance and risk.

This course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and practical skills to undertake professional work, and ways to incorporate technical aspects of internal auditing and quality assurance into a range of organisational contexts.

Compliance continues to be a major concern for the boards, CEOs and senior management of most organisations. There are increasing risks associated with new levels of complexity and pace of changes in legislative and regulatory requirements. Quality auditing is a foundation of good governance.

Auditors are expected to assess the effectiveness of the organisation’s compliance framework, including risk assessment, understanding, monitoring, handling non-compliances, reporting and continuous improvement.

This course is recommended for professionals seeking to develop their career in auditing, compliance, quality assurance, governance and risk.

Organisations wanting to develop their internal audit team.

  • Hold a Certificate IV qualification, or relevant work experience (minimum 12 months), in their proposed business environment (i.e. RTO, Government, Not-for-profit, Safety, IT Governance, Health and Safety).
  • Access to a suitable workplace (required to complete compulsory work placement component).
  • Access to the Internet and the ability to research information online, send and receive emails and use Microsoft Word.
Note: ROI Institute Australia has the capacity to organise a suitable workplace for a limited number of learners per year. Work placement arrangements must be confirmed prior to enrolment confirmation.

This course consists of four modules including eight units of competency. The first module is considered the entry point, and focuses primarily on technical aspects of internal auditing, using audits as tools to manage risk within the organisation.

The second module includes a methodical approach to analyse and interpret policy and regulatory requirements that affect the organisation’s operations.

The third module addresses information management systems and continuous improvement.

The last module is focused on the application of advanced auditing skills, as well as professional, interpersonal and management skills, within a specific workplace.

A student’s learning experience includes a set of online learning activities, live webinars, four face-to-face workshops and completing the work placement portfolio.

On average, individuals take 12 months to complete this course. However, this time may vary depending on a learner’s prior skills, knowledge and experience.

The total cost of the course is $5,000, payable in four instalments of $1,250 that are due at the commencement of each module.

Note: Organisations have the option to pay the full fees at the start of the course and obtain a 10% ($500) discount. This option is not available to individuals.
